India's constitution accepted these words in the 42nd Amendment of the Constitution.It tells us that:

  • Sovereign - It is free from all the foreign country as it has its freedom.
  • Secular - India is not divided on the basis of caste and religion. All have equal rights.
  • Democratic - In India, people have rights to elect their representative in regular elections.
  • Republic - The head of the state is elected.
