India is an important iron and steel producing country in the world yet, we are not able to perform to our full potential largely due to:

1.High costs and limited availability of coking coal.

2.Lower productivity of labour.

3.Irregular supply of energy, and

4.Poor infrastructure.

in my opinion the countrie's leaders or government can do some these steps to get the full potential:----

  1. new technological and modern machineries should be used or implemented for better and more productivity
  2. there should proper and systematic use of energy and different sources
  3. Proper infrastructure advancement should be done .
  4. high quality labour should be used

India is an important iron and steel producing country in the world, yet we are not able to perform to our full potential because of the following reasons:

(i) Iron and steel industry is the basic industry. Since all other industries — heavy, medium and light depend on it for their machinery.

(ii) But its high cost and limited availability of coking coal is one of the reasons for not performing to our full potential.

(iii) Low productivity of labour as labour is lazy and unable to perform to its full potential.

(iv) Irregular supply of energy is also responsible for low productivity.
