Depletion of groundwater

India is by far the largest and fastest growing consumer of the groundwater (GW) in the world and facing a set of serious problems. It is a critical situation and needs to be addressed at the moment. People are just turning ignorant of the fact that resources must be used judiciously.

Despite our country consuming a significant amount of groundwater, some people are devoid of adequate water supply. Mainly due to its uneven distribution and over- exploration.

If the current trend prevails, rationing of water is soon going to be a reality. It is rightly said that God has given enough for everyone's need but not for anyone's greed. And we must be careful about our usage of water.

Explanation:

It is important to preserve natural resources and every individual can make a contribution towards this preservation.

Considering the natural water resource, although water covers most part of our earth, yet only 1% water can be used. India is by far the largest and fastest growing consumer of the groundwater (GW) in the world and facing a set of serious problem. Hence it is the need of time to conserve water.

One example is the implementation of technology on touchless or automatic faucets. An automatic faucet can save upto 60% water in place of manual faucets. Automatic faucets are touchless so they transfer diseases and are widely used in hotels and hospitals
