India as a country in 2040

  • India is a fast developing country, which also faces many challenges both internally and internationally, and if these challenges are overcome India will become a developed country & a global superpower.
  • The population that is rapidly expanding is India's greatest threat, since the majority of the problems such as poverty,  unemployment, illiteracy, pollution, crime are root cause. India is the second most populous populated nation in the world next to China, and is the most important obstacle in its progress unless India takes effective steps to control its populations.
  • Millions of people still live under the poverty line in India, so it can't be a developed country as long as there is poverty in a country. The Indian government must therefore take some serious steps to eradicate the country's poverty so that it is a superpower.
  • Illiteracy also serves as an barrier in a country's growth because an illiterate can not in any way contribute to a country's progress. Therefore, illiteracy must be removed from the nation by providing children as well as uneducated adults with free and obligatory education.
  • The creation of more employment opportunities for Indians will not be a super power unless the problem of unemployment is addressed, because unemployment means that a large number of the country's human resources are either under-used or unused which may have been used for progress in the country.
  • Pollution also constitutes an obstacle on the progress of a country, whether in its air , water, noise or radioactive pollution, because pollution has an effect on an individual 's competence through various forms of illnesses, such as headache, high or low blood pressure, asthma etc.
  • Corruption is also a major obstacle to a country's development, as it affects a country's economy badly. In India, corruption is rife and the international corruption index ranks 87th. So unless corruption is abolished from India with zero tolerance of corruption &  making effectual laws. India cannot become a superpower
  • Terrorism is a significant danger to a nation's security, because an insecure country cannot become a superpower. India must therefore make serious efforts to end terrorism, where they operate in different areas of the country, to become a superpower.
