india lies in the region of north-east trade winds which blow from land to sea. so,it,should have been an arid land,but,is not so. why?

yes it could have been an arid land, but the south west trade wind and the westerlies wind blows from sea to land carring moisture and gives rainfall to many parts of India thus preventing India from being an arid country
