India lies in the northern hemisphere and is between 8 degrees 4 north latitude 37 degrees 6 north latitude! Hence it can be identified that india lies entirely in the tropical and sub tropical regions of the Northern Hemisphere!

Tropic of Cancer passes almost through the middle of India . The region bounded by equator and Tropic of Cancer has tropical climate and that bounded by Tropic of Cancer and 66and half degree has temperate climate . So the southern part of India lies in the tropical climate region and the northern part of India lies in the temperate climate region .
