Not sure about India but here is something helpful for you :-

The egg came first. However the twist in this theorey is that the egg was not completely of chicken. The egg was laid by another bird which was not a chicken. But from the egg, emerged the chicken.

When the child is formed from the parents, the child has not completely the same genes as that of the parents. So the offspring (child) is identical to the parents but not completely a clone of them.

Due to genetic mutation, the genes of the bird's egg mutated to form the very first chicken. So instead of being the bird it actually was, it mutated and formed a chicken.

Same thing happened to us.
The apes mutated and thus humans were formed.
