INDIAN POLITY Will increase party politics specially if members and Mayor are from different parties thereby reducing efficiency.
There must be a choice for the states and cities to select the form of Local government they want instead of forcing them to adopt a particular model. The ultimate motive behind ULB is self government thus the local citizenry must have a voice in it.
