India recently announced plans to procure 21 MiG-29 fighter jets from Russia under its latest defense deal.
Defence Ministry of India approves purchase of 33 new fighter jets including 21 MiG-29s from Russian country.
The country Russia supplied 12 Sukhoi Su-30 MKI aircraft and 21 MiG 29 fighter jets and to Indian Air Force (IAF).
The project is estimated to cost $787.6m. It has been forwarded to the Ministry of Defence in India for final
approval.
The Ministry of Defense in India approves upgradation of 59 existing MiG-29s.
