Answer:

Man's increasing need to meet his demands for food, shelters and other activities has made him cut down trees and clear forests. This has degraded the natural environment to a great extent. Cutting down trees results in soil erosion and causes flood which leads to destruction of crops and damage to life and property. Destruction of forests also disturbs the natural habitat of wildlife. Besides due to the increasing industrialization, the environment is being polluted by harmful gases, smoke, solid wastes etc.. emitted from factories and thermal power plants. Emission from vehicles also Pollute the atmosphere. People often misuse resources by overusing minerals or by destroying forests and soil or polluting rivers, seas, air etc.
