Indias land route have been important since ancient times because all European France or Britain and other countries trade from here as the states in India are not surrounded by oceans so,sea route is not more effective. That's why land route is preferred for foreign business etc.

India's land route have been important since ancient time.after land the sea route came into practice.so people have better knowledge in land route.for trading ,exchanging goods ,moving from one to the other people used the land .everybody know the land routes better than the sea route.foreigners also used it collect tax bring people to work as slaves and to capture kingdoms.
