There are multiple reasons for decline of sex ratio whether it is child sex ratio or female sex ratio..

1) gender discrimination : people give preference to boy than girl . So , feoticide is done in wide range .

2) diseases : in these years many dangerous diseases like nipah or ebola had spread in many areas which effected people very much .

3) death rate : increasing death rate due to pollution or air borne problems . Mostly in places like Delhi , Haryana etc .

These can be some of the reasons for decline of sex ratio in India between 2001 and 2011 .
