India’s sex-ratio was approximately 945 females per 1000 males according to 1991 census. It declined to 927 females in 200 census. What do you think is the reason behind this continuously increasing gap? Explain in detail.​

The major causes for declining sex ratio are: sex ratio at birth, sex-selective abortions, sex ratio of children and sex-differentials in mortality etc.

The Government have intensified effective implementation of the said Act and amended various rules covering provision for sealing and seizure and confiscation of unregistered machines and punishment against unregistered clinics.
