India has enormous diversity in availability of resources. This can be explained by following examples of availability of diverse resources in different regions of India.
1. The Chotanagpur plateau of India is rich in mineral resources and has well developed industrial sector but lack in agriculture sector.
The states of Jharkhand, Chhattisgarh and Madhya Pradesh are rich in mineral resources but lack industrialisation.
2. Gangetic plain of India is fertile and
contributes greatly in agriculture sector but they lack in Industrial sector.
3. Himalayas are endowed with ample amount of beauty and natural resources but lack in infrastructural development.
Arunachal Pradesh has an abundance of water resources, but lacks in infrastructural development.
Most of North-Eastern states are rich in natural vegetation but lacks in fertile soil.
4. Similarly Rajasthan is endowed with sun and wind resource lacks in water resource.
The cold desert area of Ladakh is relatively isolated from the rest of the country due to lack of means of transportation and communication.
