Active Voice : When a subject performs an action directly, it is in active voice.
Passive Voice : When the object performs the action, it is in passive voice.
Passive Voice : India was partitioned in 1947.
Active Voice : Jinnah partitioned India in 1947. ( Jinnah is written because he was the person who partitioned India. It can be omitted in the passive form. )
