Similarly, the amount of rainfall is also not constant. Lower than expected precipitation causes crops to wilt while greater than necessary rainfall causes water logging issues. In any case, the farmer ends up suffering because the production is not as desired.
Though the farmer toils all year long, there is no guarantee that his hard work will bear fruit. He is at the mercy of the monsoons and that is what makes agriculture a gamble.
