India and US are one of the biggest democratic countries in the world and both have different form of fuctioning the government as federal republic state adopted in US in the year of 1789 where as India occupied the status of socialist and sovereign in 1950.

However, both the countries have a wtitten constitution and both the dwmocracg accept that some right cannot be taken away even by a duly elected government. The US has Bill of right and India has Fundamental rights.

Political system of India:

As Great Britain and Australia have parliamentary form of government India also has.

1- diversity of india can be seen in parliament they represents the diversity of the country. Since the excutive is drawn from the legislature it provides greater opportunity to represent the diverse section of the people in a country with a hetrogenous population.

2- it provides enhance accountability of executive to the legislature in the form of continuous and concurrent responsibility to the legislature and people which is preferred over the periodic accountability of presidential system.

3- there is inherent cooperation between the council of minister and legislature. There is no opportunities of any deadlock.

4- people of india are familier with this system(morley-minto) and it has been largely successful.

Political system of US:

1- political deflection have no political significance because it does not affect stability of the government.

2- In the presidential system legislature exercise better financial control beacause its member are not under the strict compulsiob to vote along the party line.

3- it provides greater opportunities to recruit talent and experties into the government

4- president is the real head of the state whereas in parliamentary system he is nominal head of state.

In conclusion, we may say that both the system have merits and demerits while public opinion has better chance to influence the governments policies and decision in the parliamentary form of government. And the presidential system is more succesful in providing political stability in the government.
