Indian constitution is federal in nature because it obeys the criteria of federal govt. It has more than 2 tires of govt, etc..

Because it has no monarchical form of government. It consists a prime minister well in monarchy form a country is ruled by it's King or queen and the people had to obey the king's point of view. But in Federal country a leader had to obey the peoples view point moreover a leader is also represented by people through universal adult franchise. Where in a ruler in the monarchy had to be selected by the King or noblemen
