The Indian government made a law to increase the marriageable age of girls from 18-21 is a very good move because,
- Indian girls will get a chance to complete their education, which might not have been possible because if they were forced to be married at 18, their graduation may not have been completed because they were married prior to it.
- Secondly, the school dropout rate will also be affected for the good as more girls will be able to study, this is in relation to the first point I made.
- Thirdly, the health benefits because teenage pregnancy are a very high-risk pregnancy for a women's body and which can in the future cause a lot of trouble for the female
- Lastly, the death rate of mothers during pregnancy will also be reduced due to child marriage and pregnancies getting affected.
Conclusion:
Keeping in mind the education and the health of the young women of India, the law to increase the marriageable age from 18-21 is a good step
