Indian monsoon is an extremely complex phenomenon that is fully integrated with global circulation system. Interaction between winds and ocean sometimes bring torrential rainfall and sometimes severe drought in our country. There are many factors like El Nino, shifting of ITCZ, jet stream movement etc. plays an important role in the Indian monsoon. It becomes quite uncertain when these factors play their role and lead to delay in monsoon, draught or early onset of monsoon and torrential rainfall.
