The Indian National Movement was an organised mass movement concerned with the interests of the people of India and affected by both internal and external factors. It led to the formation of the Indian National Congress in 1885 and several revolts broke out across the country.
In 1855 the Indian National Union was formed which became the Indian National Congress.
The Indian National Congress (INC) was created to help ease the tensions in the British relationship with Indians after the Sepoy Mutiny.
There were 12 National movement take place from 1855 to independence such as Civil Disobedience movement, Quit India movement, Dandi March, etc.
The quit India movement was started from 8th August 1857 and was the first national movement of India. Many freedom fighters were martyred during this period. And in 1905 the Bengal partition take place. Hind Swaraj, Muslim league, Congress party, Brahmo samaj many organisations and parties are working to make country independent.
And, when the British conceded independence to India, it came with such swiftness that many of the unresolved tensions were swept aside only to come bursting forth later.
Lord Louis Mountbatten, the last viceroy of British India, granted the damand of Muslim league to create a seperate state Pakistan for Muslims.
Violence ensued as Hindus attempted to cross newly created borders into India, while Muslims fled to Pakistan, resulting in many deaths and clouding India's long-awaited freedom from the British Raj.
