set of rules that they were forced to obey, to law as including ideas of justice.

2. Indian legal profession also began emerging and demanded respect in colonial courts.

3. They began to use law to defend the legal rights of Indians.

4. Indian judges also began to play a greater role in making decisions.

Therefore , there were several ways in which Indians played a ma7.jor role in the

evolution of the rule of law during the colonial period.

Answer :- Indians played a major role in the evolution of the rule of law during the colonial period. The laws created by the British were initially biased against Indians. Over time, Indians fought against these laws to make them fairer.

And as the time went they did manage to get the laws fair and this was an initial step for the freedom of them.
