I think India’s society at large as patriarchal because of the following reasons:
-a tradition-bound societal atmosphere where male line is considered as race bearer, family bearer and a developmental tread towards right direction specially in the rural areas.
all the practices which are still present in our relatively backward rural areas appear as mostly male-glorifying type and it is deeply imbibed in their human psyche; and with a grimace it has been more visible among the uneducated, tradition-bound women
