Yes I think Indian society needed British rule, because back then, if the British had agreed to leave India immediately after and pass power into its own hands, everything would have been a chaos, since there were no rules and guideline, not was the constitution... so I agree with James mills opinion... plz mark as BRAINLIEST :)
