Indians should follow family planning for controlling the population because the country does not have enough resources that would be able to strive such huge population in long run.
Explanation:
- India has the only 2.4% of the total area of the world but has 17% of the total population of the world. With this ratio, it is easy to understand that resources are not enough for everyone, and that's why most of the people are compelled to live with very limited resources and this puts them in very vulnerable positions.
- For example, India has highest number of people living under poverty. So, if we can control the population of India there can be better chances to provide people basic resources like food, home, education, medicine, etc.
- But if the numbers will keep on rising the government and authorities will face various challenges to help such huge numbers of people.
- The Government of India, realized this problem from the very beginning, and India was among the earliest nations in the world to introduce Family Planning, which was introduced in 1952.
- The efforts have proved to be fruitful because India was to take over China in becoming the world's most populous country in 2022, but according to the recent reports it will take over China in 2024.
- But there is still lots of challenges and areas to work upon if India wants to provide quality of life to its people.
