a.Termeric - Termeric compound remines yellow when acid or nutral solutions are added to it. When basic solutions such as sodium hydroxide is added to it, the solution turns to pinkish red.

b. China rose Yellow Green -. A solution of China rose turns green in a basic solution and bright pink or magenta in an acidic solution

C. Phenolphthalein Pink- It turns colorless in acidic solutions and pink in basic solutions

• Crystals or white crystalline powder.

• Transparent and colourless in crystalline form – rather like ice.

• Crystallises in the isometric system, usually in the form of cubes.

• Soluble in water.

• Slightly soluble in alcohol, but insoluble in concentrated hydrochloric acid.
