  • Acetic acid is a weak acid and ammonium hydroxide is a weak base.
  • So, in the case of a strong base, we use phenolphthalein as an indicator and for strong acid, we use methyl orange as an indicator.
  • But here due to a combination of a weak acid and weak base, no suitable indicators are found.
