Given :

• The constant speed at which the Indira express travels = 80 km/h

• Total distance to be travelled = 20 km

To find :

• Total time in minutes the Indira express will take to cover 20 km

Solution :

Formula to calculate time :-

→ Time = Distance ÷ Speed

we have,

• Distance = 20 km

• Speed = 80 km/h

Substituting the given values :-

→ Time = 20 ÷ 80

Cancelling the zeros :

→ Time = 2 ÷ 8

Cancelling both the digits by 2 :

→ Time = 1 ÷ 4

Therefore, the time the Indira express will take [In hours] = 1/4 hour

Now, we shall convert the time from hours into minutes.

As we know,

• 1 hour = 60 minutes

So, in order to convert the value from hours into minutes. Multiply it by 60.

→ Time = 1/4 × 60

→ Time = 1/2 × 30

→ Time = 15

Therefore, the total time the Indira express will take to cover 20 km = 15 minutes
