Answer:

Topography plays an very important role in density of population. In most parts of the world, population is concentrated in the plain areas because they are suited to people's economic activities like farming, setting up industries etc. Mountains,hills and plateaus are less favourable for human habitation. Thus, the Indo- Gangetic Plains is thickly populated whereas the Deccan plateau is thinly populated.

indo ganatic plain have high density........................ because (1) it has River like ganga,indus,brahmaputra so they can made their comfortable in that water rich region (2) because of the fertile land i.e

Indus,ganga,brahmaputra made it fertile by carrying sediment and silt so they can practice agriculture well
