Indo gangetic plains have high population because of the most fertile plains , people can grow crops in those plains and it is the most fertile soil therefore we will get good yield and they can make more money by selling their crops and also they will have good amount of supply of water to their crops

People like to occupy the places between gangetic plains because living near rivers have many legends . Living near rivers is useful in case of agriculture as it is made up of fertile plain . It is easy to follow the lifestyle and culture there . It is comfortable to live in plain because of its moderate temoerature . That's why it supports one of the largest world population
