Explanation:

Indore has been the cleanest city of Madhya Pradesh and India for couple of years whearas Nagpur is no where close to Indore in this ranking. Environmentally indore is quite clean when compare to Nagpur. This is because of the Indore is the commercial capital of Madhya Pradesh and most important city while Nagpur lags this status. Also the lifestyle of people in Indore is better, more mature and disciplined.

Indore is number one  Clean City

Explanation:

  • As of 2016, the Indore Municipal Corporation (IMC) has disposed of garbage dumps, obtained household waste separation of 100% and transformed waste, including compost and diesel, into useful items.
  • The organisation worked with NGOs to initiate an advertising initiative to improve their residents' behavior, has hired private businesses to conduct waste management programs, used technologies and increased civic capability to execute the waste management program. The city has been the cleanest in the nation because of its political and administrative will.
  • The progress of Indore 's urban solid waste management shows that urban India will clean up if local authorities, NGOs , private companies and people work together. In 2016, the IMC began by gathering waste every day from homes, and started slowly requesting people to send segregated waste.
  • The IMC also assured that the initiative would be implemented by its own administrators, who suspended administrators who did not supervise garbage collection and praised others who performed well. The IMC had roped in religious leaders giving sermons  on the value of cleanliness as stated in religion texts, colleges, competitions for cleanliness and "oath taking ceremonies" for children "pledging" a clean city
  • This central waste treatment plant is built on the largest landfill site in Indore. The municipal firm leased equipment in 2018 to separate the garbage from the "legacy" waste & clean up the facility. Part of this cleaned dumping ground has been planted with trees and turned into a garden.
  • Today, the campaign for cleanliness gathers traction all over the nation. Cleanliness is however a cliché in Nagpur and the city fails to conform with the norms. Nagpur has been rated "being"  on the "brink of health & environmental' "emergency"' which needs urgent remedial measures.
  • Nagpur has become no longer a "clean and green city," most residents blamed it on  bad waste management, inadequate resource use, lack of local authorities' awareness and inefficiency.
