Industries are set up in places with moderate climate because -

• The moderate climate zones are not extreme in climatic conditions.

The winters are not extremely cold here.

The summers are also not extremely hot here.

• This medium kind of climatic conditions is preferred by the industrial sectors because this kind of weather is ideal for heavy working.

Any kind of extreme weather conditions can cause delays and unwanted hindrances in the industrial works.

For this reason, most of the industries are established in the moderate climate zone.

The ideal condition for setting up industries is a moderate climate region because the availability of labor and market is high as these regions are densely populated. Also, the cost of air condition and heater is less in the moderate climate region which reduces the utility cost in this region.

Explanation:

  • The lower transportation cost, availability of skilled workforce, cost of land and construction and cost of utilities such as electricity, heater, cooler, etc.
  • So the factors are more favorable in the region of moderate climate than in the extreme climatic regions like equators.
  • That’s why Banglore and Pune have more industries than nearby areas.
