it can spread by diff means to others

like common cold you can contract it...easily..

but cancer is not infectious coz it does not spread through contact...

Diseases where microbes are the immediate causes are called infectious diseases. microbes can spread from a infected person to a healthy person. They spread through air, water,food ,insects or through physical contact with infected person.

Diseases which spread from infected people to healthy ones are known as Communicable diseases. These dieases are caused by microorganisms.

So, both infectious and communicable diseases are caused by microorganisms and can be spreaded.

therefore, Infectious diseases are also called as Communicable diseases.
