when kalam was in 5th standard,a new teacher came to their class.as he was a muslim he used to wear a cap on his head and sat in front row with a hindu priest son "ramanandha sastry" who wored a sacred thread.the new teacher could not stomach a hindu priest's son sitting beside a muslim boy. 
so, kalam was asked to go and sit in the last row.this incident influenced kalam a lot in his school day's later it was solved by ramanandha sastry's father laxmana sastry.
