Take a black chart and cut circles, cresent moon shape, half moon and and a little more than half. Stick in in an order and draw a few stars with a silver glitter pen or a correction pen (whitener). And with the help of the same title the phases and give a title.
Phases of the moon occur because the earth's shadow falls on the moon which looks like the shadowed portion of the moon disappeared. When the moon becomes a full moon from new moon it is called waning and from full moon to new moon is called waxing. It takes 14 nights or 15 days to complete the waning and the same with the waxing. So approximately 30 days that means 1 month.
I hope the images will help you understand better.
