The crops that grow only in a particular season are called seasonal crops. Rabi crops are grown in winter season. Kharif crops are grown in monsoon and Zayd crops are grown in the summer.
Festivals such as Baisakhi in the North India and Sankranti in South India are celebrated indicating the harvesting season of crops like wheat and rice respectively.
