Turtle are mostly found in the ocean. Many Sea turtle are classified as endangered species because they are slowly outnumbered. Hunting of turtles for their eggs, meat, skin and shells is restricted and banned. Most of the sea turtles face danger from poaching and over-exploitation of the turtles. Climatic change on the ocean has been one of the major cause for the reduction of the number of turtles in the sea.

  • The reproduction process of the sea turtles happens in a miraculous way. Although they are largely confined to the water ways, they lay their eggs on sea shore.
  • They incubate their eggs periodically. They dig holes in the surface of the sea shore and lay their eggs and wait them to hatch.
