Computer system used to store information into the Memory. Memory is classified as two :

(1). Primary Memory :
It is used to store data or information temporary. It is Volatile in nature. Primary Memory is divided into two RAM and ROM

RAM (Random Access Memory) :
It is accessed by user. Its divided into two types : Static RAM(SRAM) and Dynamic RAM (DRAM).

ROM (Read Only Memory) :
It is inbuilt memory, only the purpose is read. Its classification are: PROM (Programmable ROM), EPROM (Erasable PROM), EEPROM (electrically EPROM).


Secondary Memory :
It is used to store information permanently. It is Non Volatile in nature. CD, DVD, Hard disk, Floppy Disk, USB, etc. are the example of secondary memory.

Hard disk : It is the inside of the system used to store data or information.

Floppy Disk : It is stored small amount of data or information.

CD (Compact Disk ) : It is used to store the data with optical storage techniques. It uses one side of the disk to read and write the data. It is cheap and small size.

DVD (Digital Versatile (Video) Disk):
It is the similar technology of CD, but different is both side of the disk we can read and write the data or information init.
