Contraception : To deliberate use of artificial method or other techniques to prevent pregnancy as a consequence of intercourse

CONTRACEPTIVE METHODS : These method are used for (I) limiting family size

(II) prevention from sexually

disease.

(III) Prevent the risk of early or

unwanted pregnancies.

CONTRACEPTIVE METHODS : there are many contraceptive methods .But we have to choose them carefully. some have side effects and some have don't.

so the following contraceptive methods are as follows ;

1. Coitus interruptus ( for male)

2. Barrier method :( for female and males ) put something in the between the ova ( egg) and the sperm . example - diaphragm , cervical cap , condoms .etc

3. surgical method - surgical method are of 2 types vasectomy and tubectomy .

Vasectomy for males - in that method pir of Vas deferns cut off and tied back . This process it is a irreversible technique means this cannot be reverse ,

then tubectomy - for females - in this method pair of fallowpian tube is cut off and tied back. This process is also irreversible . THIS METHOD FOR BOTH MALES AND FEMALES DONE BY AN EXPERT DOCTOR .

4. Oral pills - ( for females only ) oral pills are of three types (I) orally taken every day (ii) emergency pill (iii) vaginal pills

(I) oral pills / orally taken pills are taken regularly by a female it stops the release of ova from the ovary and thickens the vaginal fluid . example : mala N and ,malaD

(ii) emergency pill is taken within 72 hours of sexual intercourse when the egg is not implanted in the endometrium wall

side effects : vommiting , abnormal bleeding stomach pain

failure chance : rare

(iii) vaginal pills inserted by the expert gynaecologist doctor into the vaginal .

5. Intrauterine contraceptive devices ( IUCD )

( only for females ) in this method a device is inserted into the woman's uterus to prevent pregnancy. example : copper T , lipasee loops ,

copper T 380. etc the copper present in copper T releases copper ions and increase the amount of WBC in female vagina .

side effects : it cannot prevent sexually transmitted disease

abnormal , irregular bleeding and abdominal pain .
