The Thar Desert (Rajasthani: थार मरुधर, Hindi: थार मरुस्थल, Sindhi: ٿر ريگستان, Urdu: صحراےَ تھر also known as the Great Indian Desert) is a large, arid region in the northwestern part of the Indian subcontinent and forms a natural boundary running along the border between India and Pakistan.
The Northern Fertile Plain lies to the south of Himalayan Region. It is also called the Gangetic Plain. It is a vast plain and level land between the Himalayas in the North and Deccan Plateau in the South.

mdraheem263: The Himalayas, or Himalaya, (/ˌhɪməˈleɪ.ə/ or /hɪˈmɑːləjə/; Sanskrit: हिमालय, hima (snow) + ālaya (dwelling), literally, "abode of the snow"[1]) is a mountain range in South Asia separating the plains of the Indian subcontinent from the Tibetan Plateau.
