The Telugu people or Teluguvaaru are a Dravidian ethnic group that natively speak Telugu. The majority of Telugus reside in the Indian states of Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, and town of Yanam in Union TerritoryPondicherry. There is also a significant Telugu population in Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Maharashtra, Odisha, Chhattisgarh and Andaman and Nicobar Islands.
