Vegetative Propagation is an asexual method of reproduction in plants. In vegetative propagation new plants are produced from the parts of old plants.Vegetative propagation usually involves the growth and development of one or more buds on the old part of the plant to produce a new plant. These buds are in the dormant state in the old parts of the plant. When they are provided with suitable conditions like food, moisture, warmth these buds grow to form new plants. Some of the plants which reproduce by this method are- Rose, magnolia, potato, ginger, sweet potato, dahlia, mint, sugarcane etc.
