Thank you for this question.

B.R Ambedkar was an Indian social reformer who was known for his struggle for the equal rights and freedoms of the Dalit community of India. He worked hard to end the concept of untouchability in India.

B.R Ambedkar took the following steps to demolish the concept of untouchability:

(i) Awareness Campaigns: He became the spokesperson of the rights of the untouchable casts of the country. He talked about social reforms than political and administrative reforms.

(ii) Harijan Movement: Ambedkar joined this movement led by Mahatma Gandhi. This movement was a series of protests against the injustice and prejudice against backward castes of India.

(iii) Dalit Buddhist Movement: Many Dalits converted from Hinduism to Buddhism in order to get rid of the concept of untouchability. Ambedkar also converted to Buddhism.
