Ultrasonic waves we use in daily life are as follows:-

• It is used in dish washing machines. In such machines water and detergent are vibrated with ultrasonic vibrators. The vibrating detergent particles rub against dirty plates and clean them.
• ultrasonic vibrations are used for imaging internal organs of human body.
• ultrasonic vibrations are used in relieving pain in joints and muscles.

• some animals, such as whales, elephants and giraffes communicate using infrasonic waves over long distances.
