Solution :-

As given :-

Initial Velocity = 30 m/s

Acceleration = 10 m/s²

Now we have to find out the distance covered in 3rd sec .

Now we will first find out the distance covered in first 3 sec then subtract the distance covered in first 2 sec from it .

It will give us the distance covered in 3rd sec .

From motion equation :-

S = ut + 1/2 at²

Distance covered in first 3 sec

S₃ = 30(3) + 1/2 × 10 × (3)²

S₃ = 90 + 5 × 9

S₃ = 90 + 45

S₃ = 135 m

Distance covered in first 2 sec

S₂ = 30(2) + 1/2 × 10 × (2)²

S₂ = 60 + 5 × 4

S₂ = 60 + 20

S₂ = 80 m

Now distance covered in 3rd sec

= S₃ - S₂

= 135 - 80

= 65 m
