Answer:

Rs. 70

Step-by-step explanation:

Given,

A had- a, B had- b, a=b+10, a+b=?

Now,

A gives one half and left with: a-a/2=a/2

B receives from A one his half and now has: b+a/2

Then,

B gives half of his money and is left with: (b+a/2)-(b+a/2)/2=(b+a/2)/2

A now has: a/2+(b+a/2)/2 and it is Rs. 20 more than B:

a/2+b/2+a/4=b/2+a/4 +20

a/2=20

a=40

a=b+10 => b=a-10=30

a+b=40+30=70

A and B had Rs. 70 in the beginning.
