The frog uses the nightingale for his own gain, making the poor nightingale sing for hours without any mercy. The foolish nightingale, who is too innocent to know of the frog's real intentions, unintentionally falls into his trap and ultimately pays the price with her life.
Innocence is a good quality anyone to have, but it should not reach to an extent that one is unaware of the consequences of one's actions. The world is not filled with good people or things, so one must have a shrewd mind to separate right from wrong, to no what is good and bad. An overly innocent mind makes the person vulnerable and helpless in the clutches of the world.

The world will never have a shortage of manipulators like the frog, who are not afraid to use others for their gain. So it is the person's responsibility to make sure that he is not too trusting of people or of events which the nightingale failed to do. In today's world, innocence will be taken advantage of and this is why too much innocence is not always rewarding.
