Rihan grew up in a remote village where people were struggling with a water crisis which was why they had to travel a long way to get water for drinking. Heavy water pots were once carried by the village women and girls on their heads.
A few of these women died while carrying water for their families. Even when they were pregnant, they had to walk a long way resulting in their deaths.
While carrying water, Rihan's mother suffered and got serious head and hand injuries were exactly what caught his attention. He considered resolving the issue because he was extremely upset.
He then developed an idea. He used strings to attach a round water tank so that it could be rolled on the ground. He improved the concept by incorporating a frame and wheels for the water storage tank.
The first time he tried, he got it close to perfect. He tried and tried again and got succeeded. The villagers didn't believe him when he told them about this solution, but when he practically showed them, they did.
They were overjoyed to not have to carry water on their heads anymore.
The lives of people in the village, especially the women were altered by this innovation.
