Mumbai is the worst-hit city in India with more than 18% of the total cases of India and 55% cases against the state’s total. It added over 1,500 COVID-19 cases for the second consecutive day on Thursday, which took the number of patients in the megapolis to 53,985, according to the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC).
For the second consecutive day, Maharashtra recorded new highs on the Covid-19 dashboard — 152 deaths and 3,607 cases — with the highest 97 fatalities for the second day running in Mumbai.
