Since the car starts from rest

So

u ( Initial velocity ) = 0 m/s

Given

a ( acceleration ) = 2 m/s^2

s ( distance covered ) = 49 m

t ( time taken ) = ?

By 2nd equation of motion, we have

s = ut +  \frac{1}{2} a {t}^{2}

49 = 0 \times t +  \frac{1}{2} 2 {t}^{2}

49 = 0 +  {t}^{2}

49 =  {t}^{2}

 \sqrt{49}  = t

7 = t

Thus required time taken is 7 second
